I'm really intrested in your program but I'm a bit confused about a couple of things. One, I've been listening to your 12 week fitness program but I haven't been getting anything from it. I was under the impression that there was a 12 week free program available for listening but all I've been able to find is words and nothing that I can actually use. Two, well I guess this is a problem I'll have to address myself but I need you as a sounding off board. Better yet a place to talk to myself without sounding to crazy. I'm a 62 year old man that's been lifting weights since I was 17, and about 10 years ago I got shot while deer hunting in Northern Michigan. My so called partner, laid an "unloaded" 44 magnum deer rifle on the front seat of the truck and he had his finger on the trigger trying to put it in a soft case, Well it went off and the 240 grain hollow point hit me in my left leg, went thru my groin, and stopped in my right hip. If it wasn't for the fact that I was doing well over 600 lbs. of squats at the time I probably would have been cut in half. The Drs. say that all that muscle that I had is what stopped the bullet, I think the Good Lord had a lot to do with it too. After about 2 months of resting I was back in the gym and doing ok, I still suffer with a lot of pain and have to take medication for it or go crazy, one of the two. I was doing ok, lifting 3 to 4 times a week, in really good shape with a little body fat. Then I woke up in the hospital from a small stroke and 2 weeks later another one. These 2 strokes have kept me from getting back into the gym, I don't know if it's from fear, laziness, or a combination of the two. I do know I'm getting a wee bit chunky around the midsection and I don't like it. Well I guess you can see where I'm at and no doubt where I'm going to end up if I don't get to pumping some iron. I have a small gym in my garage consisting of a Bowflex, 500 lbs
. of free weights, stair stepper, one of those do hickey's where you sit in a chair and twist from side to side, dumbells, a Tony Little Gazelle(?), and a few other odds and ends. I just need to get that ambition back, the way I used to be, where I'd be in the gym no matter what. I lived and breathed weights and I can honestly say I really enjoyed my hours in there. So why am I so slow at getting back at it?? Like I said, it's something I'll have to figure out for myself. Well thanks for letting me sound off on ya like this and I'm sorry for bothering you.
