1) Going After Your Goals
- Goals, we all have them. Some are very similar, some are very different.
The fact that you are reading this newsletter tells me that we have at least one goal in common. That goal is maintaining or achieving a higher level of health, fitness and self mastery.
One goal that we may not have in common is that I'm writing my first fitness book(but not just any regular fitness book) with two sub goals in sight. (I'm sharing this with you because the steps I'm taking to move toward my goals are universal steps that you can use for your fitness or any other goals you may have.)
OK, First I want to reach and help as many people throughout the world as possible. The information in the book will change lives in a big way. Second, I want to become a BestSeller on Amazon.com.
At first thought these would seem like two, almost impossible tasks to most people. I even have a few fellow trainers saying things like,"Come on Joey, only the big names achieve the things you are trying to do.
"And I say, "How do you think the big names become big names? Its not magic and it is not luck. You reach the higher level by moving yourself there. You give the universe reasons to pull you to the top."
Now, before I released the BHT Makeover DVDs, my name was known in only three countries: the US, Canada and Italy.
Since the release of the DVDs I have become popular (by way of new customers) in 11 other countries! A couple of which I have never even heard of, but I'm sure are beautiful places. This list is growing, so I know that I am capable of reaching and helping my wordwide audience. (one step closer to my book goals)
There were a few areas in book writing, publishing and marketing that I knew I would need help in. Now, many other people would put this kind of project off to the side as a 'fantasy they would like to fulfill one day'- alot of people do this with their health and fitness.
Not me, I looked around - did some research, spoke to a few people and decided to invest in a course that will teach me the things that I do not know about completing and marketing a book - AND making it a bestseller.
I am in the middle of this course now, with 5 more weeks to go. I am going to reach my goals, without question.
So what can you take from this lesson. Decide what you want. What is important to you? If you are reading this, I'm sure that looking and feeling great are important to you.
If this stuff doesn't come easy to you, don't give up. Keep an open mind, look for new ideas, new lessons. Don'tbe afraid to invest in something you think will help you. Chances are someone out there has already been in your shoes and has achieved success. There are people like this everywhere who then decide to help others with the things they do not know.
This is a universal law of our existence. There is not one personwho knows or knows how to do everything. But we all possess special qualities, some realized, some not yet. And it is these qualites that allow each person to lend something to others in the world. We all need each others help and assistance. Everybody, who does not abuse this universal law moves higher.
Yes, we all encounter challenges and setbacks - this is partof the process. The world would not work properly if everything cameas easy as most people want it to come.
I think you see what I am getting at. Now go get as fit as you want to be!
I know this was a little long, so I'm going to save the 'Coffee or Tea'article for the next issue.
Be fit!
