'Secrets of a Trainer'

1) Going After Your Goals
2) Coffee, Tea or Both

1) Going After Your Goals
- Goals, we all have them. Some are very similar, some are very different.
The fact that you are reading this newsletter tells me that we have at least one goal in common. That goal is maintaining or achieving a higher level of health, fitness and self mastery.

One goal that we may not have in common is that I'm writing my first fitness book(but not just any regular fitness book) with two sub goals in sight. (I'm sharing this with you because the steps I'm taking to move toward my goals are universal steps that you can use for your fitness or any other goals you may have.)

OK, First I want to reach and help as many people throughout the world as possible. The information in the book will change lives in a big way. Second, I want to become a BestSeller on Amazon.com.

At first thought these would seem like two, almost impossible tasks to most people. I even have a few fellow trainers saying things like,"Come on Joey, only the big names achieve the things you are trying to do.

"And I say, "How do you think the big names become big names? Its not magic and it is not luck. You reach the higher level by moving yourself there. You give the universe reasons to pull you to the top."

Now, before I released the BHT Makeover DVDs, my name was known in only three countries: the US, Canada and Italy.

Since the release of the DVDs I have become popular (by way of new customers) in 11 other countries! A couple of which I have never even heard of, but I'm sure are beautiful places. This list is growing, so I know that I am capable of reaching and helping my wordwide audience. (one step closer to my book goals)

There were a few areas in book writing, publishing and marketing that I knew I would need help in. Now, many other people would put this kind of project off to the side as a 'fantasy they would like to fulfill one day'- alot of people do this with their health and fitness.

Not me, I looked around - did some research, spoke to a few people and decided to invest in a course that will teach me the things that I do not know about completing and marketing a book - AND making it a bestseller.

I am in the middle of this course now, with 5 more weeks to go. I am going to reach my goals, without question.

So what can you take from this lesson. Decide what you want. What is important to you? If you are reading this, I'm sure that looking and feeling great are important to you.

If this stuff doesn't come easy to you, don't give up. Keep an open mind, look for new ideas, new lessons. Don'tbe afraid to invest in something you think will help you. Chances are someone out there has already been in your shoes and has achieved success. There are people like this everywhere who then decide to help others with the things they do not know.

This is a universal law of our existence. There is not one personwho knows or knows how to do everything. But we all possess special qualities, some realized, some not yet. And it is these qualites that allow each person to lend something to others in the world. We all need each others help and assistance. Everybody, who does not abuse this universal law moves higher.

Yes, we all encounter challenges and setbacks - this is partof the process. The world would not work properly if everything cameas easy as most people want it to come.

I think you see what I am getting at. Now go get as fit as you want to be!

I know this was a little long, so I'm going to save the 'Coffee or Tea'article for the next issue.

1) Fat Burning Lunch
2) A Free Gym

1) Fat Burning Lunch - A big question asked not just of me, but a lot of Professional Trainers is, "So,what did you you eat yesterday?" or some variation of that question. It is a good question because it gives people some insight as to what habits one should follow to feel and look their best.Well, my answer for one of my favorite all around lunches is:

1/2 can chick peas (garbanzos) crushed up a bit
3/4 chopped baby carrots
1 tablespoon of raisins
2 tablespooons balsamic vinegar
1 tablepspoon olive oil
salt & pepper to tatse

How does it burn fat?
- it is under 400 calories (a huge difference compared to alot of other garbage people eat for lunch)
- it has good amounts of protien, fiber and healthy high nutrient value carbohydrates (the good ones)
- since this meal is highly UNprocessed, the body has to work at breaking down the foods, a great thing for boosting metabolism.

2) A Free Gym - I train most of mt clients at TheTransformation Studio in Ponte Vedra Florida & someI train at their home. For the past several years I've been doing one or two of my own workouts on a play-ground.

Yes, you read that right on a playground built for kids to play on. A few months ago I started introducing some of my clients to these playground workouts. every single one of them has LOVED these training sessions. At first thought one might think, "Work out on the playground? How are we going to do that?"

And after one workout they are crazy about how awesome it is to do this type of workout. The exercises are endless. There are so many variations of push ups, chin ups, dips, sit ups, step ups, agility drills and on and on.

Occassionally, I'll add in some exercises fromThe Butt, Hip And Thigh Makeover DVDs (even for some of the guys I train) and some rubber band or medicine ball work.

Take a look around your neighborhood, find a playground and go do some simple exercises - use your imagination, you'll love it. If you can't figure out what to do - just stay tuned we are currently producing a DVD set called UltimatePlayground Workouts & it should be done in about 3 months.

I'll keep you posted.

Until next issue...

THANKS!

First I want to thank everyone who purchased thier copy of The Butt, Hip and Thigh Makeover DVDs as a result of the Valentine' Day %50 off promotion. (We are still running the promotion for anyone who didn't get the email or if you were not able to place your order because of heavy traffic on the website.)

You can order here: http://www.butthipandthighmakeover.com/wst_page2.html

Second, (and this is part of the reason I've started the blog) alot of 'Secrets of a Trainer' subscribers did not get the %50 off promo email because many spam filters are now stopping email newsletters, such as 'Secrets of a Trainer'. It is highly likely you have not been receiving all of them.

So what I am going to do from here forward (for the most part) is post the most recent issue of 'Secrets' to the blog and then just send out a short simple email to all subscribers to let each of you know that a new issue is on the blog.

Now, not all of those short emails will go thrrough to all subscribers so you may just want to check into the blog each week to see which new issues have been added. Additionally, our subscriber base is going up by several hundred each day! For this reason it is getting costly to run a free e-newsletter - and there is a possibility we may need to start the annual subscription fees again. If we do this it won't be for at least a few months from now. So, in the meantime keep enjoying your free subscription to 'Secrets of a Trainer'.

Free articles from Joey

This issue is another answer to an email that camein recently from a Joey Atlas customer, the question:

"Hi Joey, My husband told me to give you a big thanks from him. He loves what The Butt, Hip and Thigh DVDs have done for me, and so do I. This is the first summer since I had my twins that I am going to wear a two piece bathing suit. We are looking forward to your DVDs for men.

We did have a question for you, Where can we read more of your internet fitness & weight loss articles? - Jillie - PS - I will send you the 'after' photos in about 3 weeks."

I have also received other emails asking where my online articles are published. So, I thought it would be easiest just to tell all 'Secrets' subscribers how to find my articles. Here's what you do: Just go to your favorite search engine and type in: by Joey Atlas

These three words will bring up a bunch of my recent articles on health, fitness & weight loss.

Enjoy & Be Fit!
