Another Fitness Food Recipe

Note - this is the type of recipe that members of www.BestFitnessAdvice.com have full time access to.

And we add at least one new recipe each month for
members to incorporate into their fitness nutrition plans.

This one is from Pam, my Kick-Butt assistant - those of you
who have emailed us for one reason or another know her as:

Pam Timbie
'Atlas Fitness Advisor'

1/2 c honey
3/4 c crunchy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 c instant nonfat dry milk
3/4 c quick-cooking oats
1/4 c toasted wheat germ

Mix honey,peanut butter,& vanilla. Mix dry ingred., add to honey mixture. Mix thoroughly. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Chill in refrigerator.
Makes 2 dozen

Now - if you are allergic to nuts - this recipe is probably not one for you to try. If you have a substitute, maybe soy-butter, I would give it a try with that in place of the peanut butter.

In terms of calories - this is not a 'low-cal' treat - BUT if you make 'em for the weekend and keep it to 2 or 3 instead or 7 or 8 - then you'll be 'in the zone'.

These are pretty healthy too. But if you want to kick them up a notch and 'Atlasize' them - you can add some ground flax seed in place of part of the wheat germ ingredient. And you can go with Smucker's All Natural PB (they also make an organic version). Once you try this PB you'll never go back to 'regular' PB.

Your Trainer Always Knows...

Almost always, I can tell when someone is 'lying' about their nutrition intake. It's a skill I've sharpened in my 20 years of fitness consulting and personal training. Sometimes it takes a bit of analysis and observation - but sometimes I can see it immediately.

Some people don't even know they are 'lying' about their nutrition habits or caloric intake - they may honestly believe they are doing exactly what they are supposed to - and so, when we sit down and take a close look at the details we can usually find where things are going wrong, make appropriate adjustments and progress can be made. This takes a little time - but It works when you know what to look for.

The instances where I know immediately what someone has been eating is actually very easy. All I need to do is take a look at someone's mouth area - chin, lips, cheeks, etc...

Here is a great example:

If you look at the photos below - you'll see that Darah has left the evidence of her chocolate pudding right where everyone can see it - making it a dead give away of what she has been eating. Of course, it's not always this easy, but sometimes it is - allowing me to make a quick and accurate analysis.










Keep in mind - this also works with older kids and adults - some of you may have seen this yourself. --- I'll try to get JoJo and Alexa with evidence of their Easter Chocolate this weekend.

The Fitness Trouble I Go Through...


Well, its really no trouble at all - although many others would have a different opinion.

One of the main ways I reach new people with my brand of realistic and effective fitness principles is by educating and enlightening first and then offering help via my freebies and DVD products. Most of this happens via the internet where people sit down at their computer and type in a search phrase or keyword.

Now, there are hundreds and hundreds of keywords that describe the programs I produce - and quite often people will use different words to describe the same thing. For example someone may search for 'fitness videos' while someone else may search for 'workout dvds' or 'exercise videos'...

...all can mean the same exact thing - so when I write an article - I usually write it with each synonym in mind so that I can put together several variations of the article. Now, when people search for a topic, using their own words to define the topic I have a better chance of connecting with that person and helping to educate them on the topic they are seeking information on.

Some would say this is a waste of time to repeat all of this - but the truth is, it's not. I am reaching so many more people by doing this, that would not have found the info they were seeking if I had not made several variations of the same article.
