Another Fitness Food Recipe

This one is from Pam, my Kick-Butt assistant - those of you
who have emailed us for one reason or another know her as:
Pam Timbie
'Atlas Fitness Advisor'
1/2 c honey
3/4 c crunchy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 c instant nonfat dry milk
3/4 c quick-cooking oats
1/4 c toasted wheat germ
Mix honey,peanut butter,& vanilla. Mix dry ingred., add to honey mixture. Mix thoroughly. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Chill in refrigerator.
Makes 2 dozen

Now - if you are allergic to nuts - this recipe is probably not one for you to try. If you have a substitute, maybe soy-butter, I would give it a try with that in place of the peanut butter.
In terms of calories - this is not a 'low-cal' treat - BUT if you make 'em for the weekend and keep it to 2 or 3 instead or 7 or 8 - then you'll be 'in the zone'.
These are pretty healthy too. But if you want to kick them up a notch and 'Atlasize' them - you can add some ground flax seed in place of part of the wheat germ ingredient. And you can go with Smucker's All Natural PB (they also make an organic version). Once you try this PB you'll never go back to 'regular' PB.
